Message: Re: Perspectives on POET's stock price

My vision for POET, or value estimate for two years from now, is far more than any offer that might materialize.

Possibly, there is a partnership, someone who could help POET make a real run at some of the markets it cannot address due to capital constraints. For now, POET has to focus on the things that make money soon, which means some other things are left for the future or to its partners. But these blanks are rapidly being filled in on Suresh's wish list.

Suresh has been masterful at collaborating in various ways, including with Sanan, MultiLane, Foxconn, Luxshare, CAI, and various laser suppliers. In the future, those looking back will view this as a masterful job of creating an ecosystem that feeds and nourishes the company while it gathers its strength to become the "go-to" in the optical circuit sector. These allow it to stick to its strengths in the design and optimization of the OI, while its collaborators do their thing in other areas of expertise. This harnesses a lot of economic power if you consider what each company does. It is one thing for a rich company to write checks and make stuff happen. POET shows up with a fantastic bag of IP and more and more impressive collaborations.

It is hard to see what company would be poised to take full advantage of all that by buying out POET.

It's not just the products; it's a growing list you can view on the company website. It is all the collaboration that went into each of them and the knowledge base inside the company that gives it a leg up on future collaborations. Working with the best of breed for all components that go onto the OI or adjacent to it (EMLs) has put POET into a unique position of making new stuff that works on a shorter development timeline. This suits the current environment where the largest, richest companies in the world are all in on competing for the AI space, which, from POET's point of view, depends on moving electrons around more efficiently. What a place to be!
