Gerdon - I'm happy if it means a gift to a loved one.  Better put a good ribbon on it though - pieces of paper can be uninspiring (except to us!)

I keep rebalancing as side plays SGX, ATV, RMK and I am considering PG, MINE, Kinross and some Sprott fund.

Clearly nothing is at the quality level (hope I'm not insulting anyone's favourite) of KXL, but 1) there is lots of leverage in the side plays, 2) investing in them forces me to keep the whole area in mine, and 3) I'm sure one will pull ahead of the others, and it's a wonderful jigsaw puzzle trying to figure out which "horse" has the inner drive / company advantage.

With modern-day geological data, we have a clear view of a much larger area than the small concentration of where the old mines were.  So it's a secular and psychological artifact that thes areas, 30-60 from a bunch of the old mines, haven't been considered by exploration cos. and the market.  But from the claims activity, it's obvious that the geologists have a clear-eyed view.
