So if the studies should have been done by now, but we have heard nary a peep - is it safe to assume that the results must not have been promising? OR is it just that Resverlogix runs on Maui time? Even Maui doesn't run on Maui time anymore.
Bear - what animal model is suitable for such a study? The Vervet (Green African Monkey) according to Don's talk, has a different bromodomain system, which would make it difficlt to study those effects using that model. I guess they must know what model to use.
That has been a pet peeve of mine. So many drugs tested on animals including pet type animals like dogs etc. But then no drug is developed for the species that was used as test subject. You would think that pharmaceutical companies could at least include a drug to benefit the species that was used for testing - at least when they are pet type animals. What owner of a beloved pet would fail to pay for a blood test to diagnose presence or absence of cancer? Or for a less damaging medicine than classical chemo? The market may not be as lucrative, but it is there. So many pet diseases where the pets cannot benefit even though drugs have been approved for humans. I never got that. Digression, but still.
