My thoughts were that if going after an anti-viral mechansim, this is a new area for apabetalone that would benefit from having some animal data first. But if going after treating side effects of severe coronavirus infection, that their previous animal/human data on inflammation/acute phase response/cardiopulmonary endpoints would be sufficient proof of concept to forego additional animal data.
