You forgot the part that DM is hired to give EDIG his advice and recommendation...

When LG makes the ridiculous offer of 2 million, DM has to vonvey that to EDIG with his recommendation not accept it...

And if EDIG does not follow his advice, he can file a motion with the Court to be releived as attorney of record...

We already have had some of those in VIVITAR case...

I did write a long post of this whole thing of what are the responsibilities ad duties of the parties a while back, but AGOR had a hiccup and did not pass it through...

The long and the short of it is that "Settlement" is beteewn EDIG and defendants, and not bewteen their respective attorneys.

Lawyers are hired hands to guide the partys through the legal maze, but EDIG has to sind on the dotted line approving any settlement...
