Most everyone who is cleaning up by selling camera's or other audio/video recorders is an INFIRNGER, (DISCHINO CAN YOU READ IT O.K.?), because EDIG was the proginator of the concept of digital data transmission...
From Gates holding the Puck on Larry King Live before CES-2000, to INTEL putting 3 of its VPS on EDIG BOARD, to TI Engineers manning their tent pushing their chips having of "Kernel of Mos", to SAMSUNG showing its futuristic digital camera prototypes, they all touted the dawning of the digtal era empowered by EDIG technology...
EDIG's problem has always been they could not get a paying partner before the crash of March of 2000, which made things far more difficult to execute on their Business Plan...
10 years later, and the alacrity with which 6 of the 8 defendants have parted with their million dollar checks just proves the point...
I bet the DM is walking their hallways mumbling "We don't need no stinkin Markman to prove the claim by EDIG", and they have a big grin on their collective faces because they know after February 2010 the price is going much higher...
As far as EDIG is concerned, starting with Bow and ending with Apple, Intel, Hp, MSFT,....ETC. they are all infringing one way or the other....
Some are direct about it like Bow, THEY CLAIM THEY BOUGHT THE TECH FOR $25,000?!? Others are indirect and you know who they are...
THERE WAS NOTHING INVENTED BEFORE EDIG, and there has been nothing since EDIG hit the scene that comes any way close without having infringed on the EDIG patents...
And that is how I see it.
