We have danced around every corner of these topics for many months...and opinions vary widely, as they should. The length of time to settle w/Samsung, especially the 30 day stay to take care of "obligations" and them not wanting to go to Markman, or DM not wanting to take them there, keeps me wondering why it is unfolding this way?
At last years SHM a quote stuck in my head from RP, "Our enemies today will become our partners tomorrow." Is a cross licensing deal considered to be a partner...kinda.
If there is no buyout happening, could it be a major partnership then? Personally, a buyout would be great for most everyone, depending on the offer, but a brand labeling deal, or equity stake, or licensing deal like that of Sandisk for many years with $X/year coming in, to include a one time settlement fee, then a next round by DM to get the pipeline full, would be a nice ending to a new begining.
Who knows...maybe DM is eyeing Nokia, Sony or Apple for the Markman?

I had really thought the 19th would happen 1 or 2 business days sooner...shucks.
I'm also disappointed there was no WAEA news. Something could have been said, such as "our meeting with current and prospective clients were positive, and we expect requests for proposals in the next 90 days." Says very little but better than nothing. A little self promotion is not a bad thing, but it looks like that will be said with the update and financials. Timing is everything....and we want it now...
The timing of the SHM speaks volumes IMO. If the Samsung deal, whatever it may be is a good one, DM drops a bomb of 20-30 more, something positive concerning eVU out of WAEA stated in a company update with financials, and EDIG announces the SHM will be webcasted, and the meeting location is a larger rented room "next door" it all points in the right direction.
Also, I don't see DM bowing out...makes no sense, as it's easy money and the IP claims are cookie cutter deals. Cut and paste, edit, and lay it on them. The delay has to be tied to Samsung...nothing else explains it.
