Having differing points of view and ideas are important. I may be wrong, but I don't think "most" here have a problem with differing points of view. But rather the manner in which those views are delivered/discussed.

There are some politicians that I absolutely disagree with, but because of who they are and the way they carry themselves, I respect them. There are some who say all the right things that I agree with, that I have no respect for.
