Re: settlement “on the courthouse steps,” that is, just before trial !
This would not be in our best interest. The closer we get to a Markman ruling the more we should up the settlement price and try to force the issue to a markman ruling.
Settlements would only make the next group of 10, 20, 30, etc. drag on for many months and again not result in a ruling.
Get on with the decision so that we know the future of our investment. Settlement at the courthouse steps only delays our investment return on the remaining 150+ suits.
