You are not going to replace RAM with trapped electron memory...NOR or NAND, because, both types....have a limited cell life expectiency when flashing(erasing) the device.

She is mis informed here for the practical use of this type memory.....

She needs to do a follow up and look into what the differences are between overwrite memory(RAM) used for processing principles....and non- overwrite memory ( block erasable memory...Flash) and discover that it is not practical to use this memory under any extreme processing conditions.

She's acknoledges here that the analog convertions take place out side the flash....however, can't figure out that this is the end of processing and is then treated as digital data.

Then she sums it up with this:

"Accordingly, the Court concludes that the proper construction of the phrase “a flash memory module which operates as sole memory of the received processed sound electrical signals” is best addressed in two parts.

[1]The phrase “received processed sound electrical signals” refers to the electrical signals that have been generated by the microphone and passed through the amplifier and gain control circuits, but have yet to be converted by the CODEC.

[2]The remainder of the disputed language[a flash memory module which operates as sole memory of the] requires that the device use only flash memory, not RAM or any other memory system, while engaging the CODEC, DSP (as applicable), and memory control functions, as well as storing the fully-manipulated data."

Where here, she pushes that conversion into the flash for processing...

I don't know what to tell you all.....she does not particularly care about the real world abilities or technical aspects, her focus is elsewhere.

If this makes you feel better, you're involved in the right technology, however, if it comes out sour, it's on legal jargon for sure...not the tech.
