The main point I've been trying to make is that it's not really as complicated as the defense and the judge want to make it. True, the patent's wording could be more precise, but the diagram shows what's going on. It shows onboard working memory but no onboard storage memory.

Almost every digital camera with a mic needs that removable flash card to store "received, processed sound," as do many but not all cell phones and MP3 players. Canon, for instance, should be a huge infringer, Apple, probably less so because Ipods have onboard storage and no removable flash (maybe we can catch them with our Flash E portfolio).

Briefly, I think we need to get this clarified quickly for everyone concerned so we can get what we are owed, call it "justice" — no more, no less — and get on down the road to the next tier and on to Flash E, which may be where the real bucks are.
