I do not recall Steve Jobs focusing on the negative or avoiding hyping his company, even when it owned only 4% of the market share, or more recently, as it ascended to becoming even bigger than Exxon.
You can be brutally aware of the negatives yet still focus on the positives, in fact, that is key to growing a company. Without a vision you rarely go anywhere.
