Point being that the patent in it's original form assumed the use of RAM in the processor, as Woody pointed out. The existence of RAM was implicit. The rexam recognized that RAM was used, and their wording made the RAM's existence explicit so as to erase any doubt.
RAM has always been there. The changes were editorial, not substantive.
