emit, take the time and read the patent....it's not as complicated as you think.
When I break them down I do it with PDF markups, notes, highlights and links. Links as in linking a fig. to a description, or a description to yet another description...etc. Doing it that way, you can move around the digital document and gain a great insight.
My initial study of 445 was paper doc. with notes and highlight. Now using PDF , over 15 years later, makes it much more simple....you know where every thing is in seconds....as opposed to shuffling paper.
Just start with description 1 and figures ...and work your way through it.
It amounts to nothing more than a desire to put the puzzle together.
