Kevin Kantharia is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property practice. His practice emphasizes patent prosecution in U.S. and foreign jurisdictions, patent counseling, due diligence, patent disputes and patent litigation. Kevin prosecutes and analyzes patents based on his patent litigation knowledge and prior engineering experience. Kevin's patent practice covers a range of technical fields including wireless communications, microprocessors, semiconductor devices, consumer electronics, access control systems and medical devices.

Kevin has successfully represented companies in federal district court and International Trade Commission cases involving a wide range of products and technologies. He also practices in inter partes review (IPR) and other post-grant trial proceedings before Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Kevin is an engineer by training. His extensive knowledge of engineering allows him to understand complex technical issues and draft and analyze patents effectively. Prior to law school, Kevin was a Senior Electrical Engineer at Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems where he developed boundary-scan (JTAG) tests to test radar electronics on the F-15 and F/A-18 aircraft. He also collaborated with engineers across multiple disciplines to design hardware and software to test electro-optical systems.
