I saw an interesting article this morning suggesting that perhaps the only way to stop companies like Goldman Sachs from ripping off US taxpayers by paying failed executives monumental salaries would be yet another "crisis". Perhaps the US government may at that piont conclude that it is they themselves who may not be too big to fail. In the case of tiny company rip offs it may be that only significant Madoff-style punishment for convicted fraud artists would do the trick. The stock is still holding up. This may be just some more insider fun and games but then...... hope springs eternal even now.
