CUU own 25% Schaft Creek: proven/probable min. reserves/940.8m tonnes = 0.27% copper, 0.19 g/t gold, 0.018% moly and 1.72 g/t silver containing: 5.6b lbs copper, 5.8m ounces gold, 363.5m lbs moly and 51.7m ounces silver; (Recoverable CuEq 0.46%)
I still spend time in Tucson
But there is a history of water feuds, and if you look at some of the stories concerning Rosemont, you can see some of this activity
Arizona and Tucson are living on very tight allocations of Central Arizona Project, CAP, water sourced from the Colorado River
There is an awareness among the population that access to the water is fundamental to the sustainability of populations living there
They are responding politically to any initiatives to tap into their little stream
...and to try and create a major new user on Tucsons doorstep will be met with resistance
Not sure if any use is grandfathered
