No.
I had the opportunity to speak with NDP MLAs at events in the lower mainland and specifically asked them about their views on the role of mining in BCs’ development. I did not detect any overly negative sentiment towards mining. While they are opposed to the Enbridge Gateway pipeline they are not opposed to mining.
However, we in BC are aware of the NDP history and that gives us all a pause. I hope that they have learned from their past, and should they actually form the next government will facilitate the northern development.
