A lower cost alternative? Add a capex to that lower cost and none exist anywhere on this planet.
Did you know we have 7 anaomalies and most of them have no drilling? Did you also notice that only the ones in the 2 mile AI have been worked? There's a bright one that sure looks like a winner and all the Elmer did was a surface walk. It has the highest correlation of them all and is outside the AI!
