Willy, Tck has been mining in B.C. for many years, possibly 100, and have seen many governments come and go. At least 2 Social credit, 2 NDP and approx 9 years of Liberal just in the past 30 years.
The NDP is supported, with strength, by the Unions who are in need of high paying jobs to preserve their own future. unless they are stupid enough to repeat the mistakes of the last time they held power, doubtful, they will support mining and the jobs it will bring.
Forestry has taken a huge hit in recent years, paper and pulp mills have been closed or downsized since the last time they held were in charge and mining is the only resource industry that still holds the prospect for job growth. I forgot to mention fishing and canning which are pretty much a thing of the past.
Tck isn't going to worry overmuch about some transient government, but instead will concentrate on the long term need for the metals they can produce.
Cuushareholder isn't the only one here that often refers to the coming election. I also hope we can end this conversation and allow people to follow their own persuasion, in a private manner, when it comes to politics. It just happens to be their right.......chunky
