CUU own 25% Schaft Creek: proven/probable min. reserves/940.8m tonnes = 0.27% copper, 0.19 g/t gold, 0.018% moly and 1.72 g/t silver containing: 5.6b lbs copper, 5.8m ounces gold, 363.5m lbs moly and 51.7m ounces silver; (Recoverable CuEq 0.46%)
All this NDP fear mongering is completely off base. This is not the party of the past. From everything I've been following in the past 3-4 years, their first priority is good paying Union Jobs over everything else (even the environment). Plus there will be a huge deficit to pay off after the Liberal gov't mismangement, watch what the 'real' budget will look like after the election when all the accounting is done properly.
I expect higher corporate taxes, but not an immense increase. With all the tax cuts for corporations in the past decade from the feds they just put the money into a cash slush fund and stopped spending. So in effect the higher corporate taxes in BC will push Teck to SPEND the excess cash. All good for CUU.
So the election is noting to fear for the mining industry. Its the Green party you should be afraid of.
