given that Elmer is focused on tax efficient liquidity events there is a good likelyhood that a buyout will involve Tck.b shares. I would happily accept a somewhat discounted SC valuation in favor of super cheap tck.b shares.

With due respect, can you tell me why you feel Teck needs to buy out Schaft Creek? I didn't think Teck needed to buyout Schaft Creek as they already have the port and the required lands. Am I missing something?
