I can't see them waiting around very long for specific projects to plug in.

Even though your post was removed (for language I assume) I wanted to respond.

BC Hydro takes their queues very seriously and their website states there is a time limit for moving through the phases, although I can't see what the time limits are for the NTL.

The trouble is the line was built for the mines and, I think, there is only one so far that is committed. Christy Clark used to talk about 8 mines although that seems over the capacity of the NTL as it is stands.

If they try and pressure Teck to make up their minds or lose their position in the queue, who else is going to take their place? They need customers to sign up fast and help pay for the thing.

I was just listening to the CBC and they were talking about a contract for LNG with the provincial government. Whatever company it was (Petromanas?) had arranged a tax deal whereby they paid a substantially lower tax during their build phase that increased once in production.

It occurred to me that Teck would be also trying to seal up the tax terms before committing to the NTL. Maybe this is unrelated but all these things are happening at once and feed into the same production decision.
