Is there a chance we/they could lose the hydro if Tech doesn't make a decision on the mine soon?

Someone reportedly asked Elmer about this and he said that BCHydro will wait. Teck needed the information from BC Hydro on the costs associated with putting in the hydro for their optimization studies.

Elmer told me that they talk to the environmental people quite often, including at the federal level. He told me he's met with Christy Clark as well. Teck would have also met with all the people involved before backing into the project.

The Hydro doesn't run along Mess Creek in the same area as the future roadway so I would imagine it gets done separately. I'm not sure if they do an environmental assessment for that alone but, if so, all the other projects would need the same permits.

I don't think the Hydro is going to cause a delay if Teck decides to go ahead with the project now because there aren't any other projects all ready with their permits, and they must have taken this into account when they queued us up.

I guess the Hydro costs are one more piece that Teck will reveal at that JV meeting in October.
