Very impressive, Cal.  As far as Ham radio goes a lot of people used to shy away from it simply because of the requirement for learning Morse Code and being able to transmit and receive at least 5 words per minute, wpm.  The Morse Code requirement for Amateur Radio licenses was eliminated back in 2007.

ProsserP obtained the highest level of Amateur Radio licensure back before 2007 and successfully exhibited proficiency at 25 wpm.  Sounds to me like both of you guys were hot shots on the Morse key.  Most of the old guys in Ham radio who got up to 25 wpm went even beyond that speed.  Some of the Old Timers abandoned CW (Morse Code) years ago and it isn't uncommon to learn that one of more of them are reaquainting themselves and remastering Morse Code, especiall in combination with a new interest in QRP ( Low Power ) transmission.  QRP CW generally means using less than 5 Watts of power, about as much or less than that required for a night light!

OK, how about those of you here on this Hub with other hobbies? Investing is only one aspect of life and there is so much more than just investing, fascinating as that activity is for all of us, even more fascinating since LAC is UP $3.60 a half hour or so before the close as I write this note on 11 January 2022.  Of course, I am referring to replies only here on the Off Topic Forum.  None of this should filter over to the Discussion Forum.

As for COVID-19.  I think maybe my son had a bout with that, but not for sure.  Wife and I never had any problems.  We had the first 2 vaccinations and will take the "Booster" later this month.  How did everyone else do re: COVID-19?  Hopefully all of you came through so far relatively unscathed.

Don't know about the rest of you, but I am darn tired of all this COVID stuff.  May take up camping again just to get up in the Sierras and camp out so as to not have to wear these darn masks anymore and to avoid all the traffic.  The older I get the less I tolerate everyday driving in traffic and camping out in the mountains solves that problem, however it puts me in the same jeopardy as Max and Will regarding fighting the snow and the cold.  That too, is harder as the number of candles on the birthday cake begin to proliferate, eh Cal???  We moved to Nevada over 30 years ago partly to get away from traffic jams... fat chance!  Our roads are jammed now.  More and more like being in Sacramento during rush hour.  What a shame!  Maybe time to move to Gerlach, Nevada where the population most of the year is about 100?  No, the exception to that 100 population is during Burner time.  Loonatics take over the desert.  Maybe Goldfield, Nevada... nothing there except for a Speed Trap.
