Nice to learn a bit more from the other members here. I am a little earlier on in the journey of life than others here it seems. I am a few years shy of midlife and still have a few decades of work left to go unfortunately ;) 

I live in Ontario Canada near Toronto, and have a small but growing family. I am a Sr Product Manager by day (working with a non-profit kids org that teaches kids about environmental stewardship and protecting wildlife through a gamified app), and at night and weekends my main hobby is wildlife photography (specifically birds of prey). During covid I've also gotten into cultivating a growing collection of tropical indoor plants, and most recently have been taking up the hobby of domestic barrista, after our new Christmas present of an espresso machine.

As far as my LAC investment goes, the housing market near Toronto is absolutely insane (some pockets have doubled in value the last few years with an average home price of over $1 million!). Needless to say most people have a fairly massive mortgage here. I have been fortunate to have a reasonable mortgage, but the goal is to have my home paid off in full in the next 5-10 years, and if LAC performs even half what I expect it to, it will more than pay off the mortgage :)
