The only thing that "reduces the impact" of what I'm saying is that in your question, and therefore in their response, there was a "plural". "Companies". This bodes real well.

Hey Steve, good work. I just try and stay (reasonably) "on the ball" watching the "words". These guys obviously haven't been perfectly frank with us (perhaps for very good reasons). Those that suggest that some of us "pick on the words" too much don't, IMO, understand the game. As one trained (and I think skilled) in writing in a very deliberate fashion, leaving little to no room for mis-interpretation (that's what contracts guys do), when I see a lack of absolute clarity, alarms go off, and I look deeper. And this includes not only what IS stated, but what isn't (e.g., revenues through January - what about February?). Maybe it just takes a "words-smith" to recognize a "words-smith".
