verlonjones sent me this; it's a June 9, Openenheimer Industry Update and kindly ask me to comment on it. I hope DesignGuy and others will also, because it shows much information.

''We expect wireless data to double every six months for the next few years. We believe that apps/advertising can grow to $15.2B by 2015. In our view, the industry continues to move towards a more horizontally segmented structure with the tower companies, backhaul providers and data centers benefiting the most from this trend. We think LEAP/PCS are well positioned to gain from the
overall growth in wireless data''

See exhibit 17. Our tipmotion will sit at the Core Network Transport for pre/post editing per ad rendering.

‘’We have written for several years that mobile data would ultimately be the driver of the golden age of NC computing, and in our view, we are now entering this stage. The ability to access stored data and processing power remotely through thin devices increases the utility of these capabilities. For this reason, we believe there will be dozens of new smartphones, netbooks and MIDs (mobile Internet device) deployed this year and thousands of new applications. These devices will drive $15 billion in advertising and search revenues in the U.S. in the next five years, with the carriers receiving $5 billion of it. This will be the major driver of growth in the communications industry over the next five years, potentially doubling wireless data traffic (including traffic on smartphones, MIDs,netbooks, M2M) every six months or so.''

''Over the last decade the software industry has begun its march toward the world of
cloud/network-centric computing. For the most part these efforts have been focused on
the software-as-a-service (SaaS) delivery model.''

Very parrell to COTS and in our favor.

''We believe the
heart of the SaaS movement is its ability to improve operational efficiency through greater
ease of use, reduced technical risk and lower overall operational costs.''

Again nupower / cdx / Avot strive for efficiency and less power.

''The bottle neck for the networks is currently processing power and not spectrum,''

Nupower eventually helping CDX via HP/DELL Servers. edig on the handheld side per power.

''We note
that, even though this tech offering is still in its infancy, most key vendors in this space
(AMZN, MSFT, CRM, GOOG) already have differentiated capabilities. In addition, we
believe some vendors' current offerings are more flexible then others'. (In our view, apps
built on GOOG's platform are currently harder to port to another cloud than apps built on
AMZN's infrastructure, due to Google's App Engine requiring developers to use Python,
while AMZN's offerings only require apps to be Linux compatible.)''

Please let iloop hook-up with gooogle, lol noting our Chumby is on Samsung where they lie in Exhibit 18 - limo and symbian. fwiw

''However, as cloud computing continues to gain acceptance for
more and more applications and some of its key areas of concern are addressed (i.e.,
security and reliability), we would anticipate the mix of cloud computing to outweigh legacy
methods in the near future.''

CDX offers security and the later models don't indicate it, but the open and the closed could share those criteria needed for partisipating agencies/enterprises.

''The OS and carrier network should have very
little impact on the interaction between the application and the browser. The difficulty
today is that applications often render differently in various browsers leading to extra
development work. We expect tools like this to rapidly evolve, minimizing the
extra development time around making an existing app “mobile ready.” This lack of
hardware/OS lock-in is important to enterprise customers as they have very little interest
in having their respective software decisions impacting their hardware and communication
buying needs.''

We're here, we're here - HP knows it.

''At the end of the day, we believe that smartphone users will look to
gravitate toward those vendors that provide them with the richest (communication,
entertainment and productivity) “cloud” experience.''

Avot is to entertainment ease as CDX is to instant critical infomation access.

''One thing is increasingly clear: network-centric (NC) computing is happening. Over the
next decade, many enterprise applications will migrate from inside the enterprise to
network data centers just as they migrated from time-sharing facilities into the enterprise
in the 1980s. This, to us, represents perhaps the most profound change that the
communications and IT industries have undergone in more than a decade. It will create
large new IT industry sectors just like the last transition created the server, application
software, and systems integration industries. In our opinion, the transition will benefit
players at every level of the service delivery process: colocation providers, managed
services providers, data networking vendors, and all those who provide the IT services
inside the data center.''

Climb-Aboard the PDSG Train -

''In contrast to the
status quo of local hosts with heavy computing power, computing in this framework occurs
remotely, with the local client essentially just being a “thin” interface. Cloud computing will
help to drive this ongiong mobilization of information, which has many benefits for
companies looking to improve employee productivity.''

Imeter / Avot

''In addition to the
standard “inside the four-walls” apps, we now have e-commerce, e-CRM, e-procurement,
etc. Not only do these apps need to be deployed and managed, they must work with
traditional apps to be most effective. The bar is also rising for application performance as
we move toward an e-economy where transactions are built into many business
processes. This adds up to the reliability requirements of a mainframe environment, yet
with systems built upon ever-changing heterogeneous hardware and software. So we
think this is a huge opportunity for those who will build the systems and provide the
services to make reliable network-centric computing happen.''

Don't tell me RG and Mr. Qualcoooom don't know what they're doing.

''In general, we believe well architected SaaS/cloud-based enterprise applications should
be carrier and mobile OS agnostic.''

Avot is OS agnostic and CDX/vigilys brings in the mobile browswer visual application along with its standards synergies.

''The iPhone holds a significant share in smartphones capable of true Internet search, but
has so far been only distributed through exclusive agreements with carriers.''

true internet search = avot library n dynamic transcoding across all handsets not just iphone for near realtime video and IMVHO soom mission critical data to front line responders in sink with CDX.

''Android is based on Linux, initially developed by Google and later the Open Handset
Alliance. Android allows developers to write managed code in the Java language,
controlling the device via Google-developed Java libraries.''

Java is our fortee' plus CDX is upon it with EC-ONE in Japan and they mentioned EastAsia carriers possibly onboard lending credence to the open handset-carriers; android n soon Symbian going fully open 2010 = mostly Asain / eu carriers even thought it really doesn't matter to Avot but gives a scope of our target market vs possible devices n carriers.
