"You actually believe that man can alter the natural forces solar, plate techtonics that determine the climate on the earth."
Who said anything about the sun or plate tectonics? Yes, they're factors but you conveniently forget climate patterns which is the single biggest factor of all. Where we differ is that I believe six billion bodies plus an ever increasing number are doing just that - altering the climate by pumping out ever increasing amounts of greenhouse gases measured in billions of tons. Yes, that's right, billions of tons - hard to imagine any volume of gas weighing anything, isn't it? You don't believe what's happening, that's fine, nothing more to say to you except...
There are energy solutions which do not necessitate either buying oil from unfriendly countries (or dirty oil from friendly countries) or drilling for oil within the USA. There's solar, wind, tidal, geo-thermal... of course, anyone with shares in Exxon won't want to know about alternatives.
