"As for storing nickel ore it would only be until winter freeze up and then transported out on winter road, assuming all season road not available by then, Ed." That was discussed by Noront and was dismissed, although I cannot remember the reason exactly. However, I think it had something to do with the unreliability of a winter road and the need for a steady cash flow.

By the time the railroad gets built, which will be a lot longer than everyone thinks, the trucks will be worn out.
