Having grown up in a Pay for Performance corporate world... I have tried to understand why such a large salary for a CEO awaiting to move into a productionmode vs an explore world.

My conclusion: I think, that sometimes you have to pay for "the right candiate" to get you to the goal line. I beleive that if it was not a justified pay, that the major investors would have acted on this already.

Given the FN/Govt issues , it is not an easy task on Noronts desk.... So they have to go through tough talks / diplomatic talks to get from explore to production.

Just my thoughts....
