Well, we all know that these things happen from time to time irrespective of your thought process which by the way isn't necessarily flawed at all.
Having said that, there is by now, sufficient evidence in the public domain by virtue of the PIC presentation and data supporting available and growing markets whereby, a suitor could take a run at POET knowing that there in all likelihood would be a return on their investment and, it wouldn't be the first time someone either under or over paid for an acquisition regardless of what due diligence is undertaken.
At the end of the day, Poet's infrastructure isn't all that large comparable to many company's in the same space so there would probably be a return on the investment.
Knowing that there is SRP in place though could be enough of an obstacle for now but once revenues start to flow from the Poet IP then all bets are off and the action could be fast and furious.
