Aiming to become the global leader in chip-scale photonic solutions by deploying Optical Interposer technology to enable the seamless integration of electronics and photonics for a broad range of vertical market applications

Thank you Rainer, I remember this diagram well. That said, I hope most people here are aware that the Electrical (PET) component is built (crude word for it I guess) into POET. However the focus back then, was to produce a 40nm PET chip as a single entity, for customers that don't require the Optical element of POET. Indeed I remember them also saying, the fully intigrated POET chip, would take years to develop, which is clearly what we have witnessed.
The argument is therefore what happened to the single chip set, PET. If my memory serves me well, I even seem to remember talk of a chip prototype being available? Lots of things could have happened to it and it's very plausible that nothing came of it. Management just decided to plough on with the full intigration, since partners of PET fell by the wayside. But it's also plausible that my uncle (Sula) is onto something, but I know for sure both he and I, are not hanging our hats on it.
