My thoughts as well. Management appeared to change strategies more towards being a leader in optical. Perhaps, at the THM they should have informed layfolk (non-techies) that optical (photonics) was chosen over just electronics, but that PET was never really dropped but not important to POET any more as it might have once been?  That would have removed a lot of speculation here on this forum and helped keep us on track as well.
