I'm not sure it's quite as simple as that aves. If a company wants to take on a new tech like PET, wouldn't you want to keep it under wraps until you have a product? An NRE would be a rather large signal your competitors. 

I agree though, it doesn't make sense for Suresh to put a stop to any deals if they were to bring in much needed cash. Unless of course those contracts in some way inhibited the development of the fully integrated POET chip. Which is the direction they have taken us.
