I wasn't suggesting our patents were under threat. In fact it looked as though deals for NRE were to be done, once a new CEO was found. 

That comment was nothing to do with dot connecting or having rose tinted glasses. It was merely an explanation as to why nothing became of the PET endeavours.

It is a fact that they were working on PET and it is also a fact that when Suresh arrived it all went quiet. I was just offering an explanation as to why that happened, of which there are many.
