Rock samples were obtained from the main 3 exploration areas that were visited. All samples were gathered by ourselves on-site, although Jason Chornobay did take one back to camp with us to hit it with a big hammer.
Boomerang - Portage intrusion - fine-grained arsenopyrite and associated gold, sample 11 cm width, and closeup:
Maki - heavily altered banded iron, with large arsenopyrite crystals and associated gold hosted in multiple iron-stained quartz/sulphide veins, samples 19 and 7 cm wide, and closeup of large crystals:
Golden Mile quartz, sample 3 cm wide (a larger rock sample was also obtained, but this one was easy to photograph), and closeup of Visible Gold (pale yellow colour):
