Again, these are basic and minor problems...frankly not even problems. These things probably occur for most drilling, but can easily be monitered and dealt with. These guys are just trying to find the smallest things to complain about. I haven't yet heard a single piece of evidence yet on water contamination on any of these wells, which is the main reason people are protesting...and they won't find any.

QEC and Talisman take a baseline reading before each well from the aquifer, and then after fracking and if there were problems, they would make the people aware of it. They won't find any problems because they drill to the highest standards. These guys are now trying to find other things that are wrong...basically trying to feed off scraps in a place where there are few scraps to find.

The press can bad mouth any industry on the planet...frankly we have more people with level heads that look at solid facts rather than lies from a paper. Media aren't scientists, everyone needs to fully understand this. They are looking to sell papers and create some controversy. Quebec journalists aren't the first in the world to do this nor will they be the last. When was the last time a government was influenced on something major or minor because of false misleading articles. This is the government we're talking about, not a group of 5 year olds that are gulable.

Alberta oilsands even got this kind of pressure, and today they are thriving...and frankly have created more problems that shale gas would ever. Quebec doesn't need to reinvent the wheel, but to learn from other provinces and states and I see them doing just that.

If there were wells that were contaminated all over north america, you'd see chaos and people screaming bloody murder and there would be a total stop on all shale drilling everywhere, and we'd be looking at a $15 gas price. That's not the case. The idea is to adopt and take the best pieces that work from others and make it your own to protest your people and environment!

I've talked to QEC before as I said. They told me that the BAPE and government is aware of the misinformation being spread by the papers, but they can't really go sensor them. We live in a democracy remember lol. They will focus on the real information.

Rocco
