"I, for the life of me, don't understand why the company cannot communicate a simple explanation, as you just did, on something that is not exactly a minor detail."
I'm just trying to put the pieces together and just suggesting one possiblity.
Not communicating all details is not to be confused with incompetence. I think they know exactly what they are doing.
The database has been locked for ~40 days and 40 nights now. A flood of unblinded and analyzed BETonMACE data has been in the hands of Resverlogix and the clinical steering committee for a while now. Good or bad, the story has already been written. We just have to wait for the story to be told. The data data data will be rolling out very soon. Will the BETonMACE ark sink or swim? Tick tock.
5 days until the AGM, 13 days until ASN and exactly 21 days until the November 16 AHA late breaker (and BETonMACE publication?).
Sounds like we shouldn't expect anything new from BETonMACE at ASN from the reply Cabel received. I do wonder how the AHA late breaker changed things. There is no BETonMACE presentation on the final ASN late breaker list; however, there is an unidentified presentation slot that was cancelled. I'm just guessing, but could be that Resverlogix was awarded late breakers at both ASN and AHA, but that the embargo policies of AHA forced Resverlogix to choose one or the other. Since BETonMACE is designed primarily as a cardiovascular outcomes trial, the choice of the AHA late breaker would be a no brainier.
Of note, this AHA late breaker, and the start of the AHA conference, is on a Saturday. So when markets close on Friday afternoon November 15, they won't open again until nearly 48 hours after the AHA late breaker. If the news is good, then there will have been a ton of science and media coverage (medical, investment, science, analyst) already out there before markets open again on November 18.
