koo, I'm not a scientist but from all of the science posts and independent posts it does seem like there is some substance to BETi even if RVX and apabetalone has not nailed it yet. We might be lucky. Fingers crossed.

Also, I know there has been considerable discussion on this board about atorvastatin and rosuvastatin recently because of the TL BoM failure. I've recently been put on atorvastitin so I did some more searches on the two drugs on Dr Google. In my searches the posts seemed to say that one type of statin is more water soluable and the other more fat soluable? I'm sure I've completely screwed this up but if so might this be the reason why apabetalone might work better with rosuvastatin vs atorvastatin? Perhaps this has been answered already. Otherwise it seems like the posts say that rosuvastatin is the best at lowering LDL.

Also, the posting seem to say that statins reduce production of LDL by the liver but also say they increase HDL. This is a complete surprise to me and the only explanation I can guess is that the posts always talk about statins along with a good diet and exercise lower LDL and improve HDL.

I remember way back posts indicating that some drug caused a dramatic increase in HDL but it was non functional and also that the HDL produced by apabetalone was functional.

All very confusing. Let's hope the scientific brains at RVX are not confused.
