I feel so dumb sometimes haha ... "realizing" apabetalone was just studied for cardio, renal and cognitive in combinattion with Lipitor and Crestor, so those results and data will be in comibination with a statin. Assuming most heart patients are on statins, and many diabetics are on statins to reduce heart disease developing from their diabetes ... so what about kidney and cognitive patients with no heart disease or diabetes? I guess it is okay and worth it to put kidney & cognitive patients WITHOUT heart disease or diabetes on statins in combination with apabetalone? ... or would it be limited to kidney and cognitive patients who ALSO have diabetes and/or heart disease since that was the way it was studied theoretically?
IOW, in theory, how would Kidney & cognitive patients have access and benefit from apabetalone, if it is only studied and indicated in combination with a statin?
Haha, amid all our hand wringing over Lipitor, "what if" the "data data data" shows that Crestor/208 is better for heart disease, but ... Lipitor/208 is better for renal or cognitive?! Thank you FDA for shoving Lipitor down our throats in that case?! ... now wouldn't THAT be weird and ironic? ... just musings :)
