KK2 - The combo patent of Crestor/RVX208 was filed after ASSURE in 2013 and recieved in 2014. This combination patent is good until 2034. Don't short change yourself by 7 years of patent protection with this combo that it seems to work best with.

DM stated that there will be at least one patent filed as a result of the data they recieved and are still recieving as a result of BETonMACE. This new patent should help to secure protection for some years after 2034.

Using 2027 as a patent expiry date has very significant implications. If a Bolt on Trial is required, realistically we wouldn't get to market until 2023/24 and only be afforded patent protection for 3/4 years. That being said we should all hope that the combo of Crestor/RVX208 continues to show the best results in all areas.
