Our factories are similar, with a little different terms used.
For me, a "production order" is a PO with a future ship date; a "backorder" or "backlog" is a PO that is late (past the requested ship date on the PO); and a "push" order is what you call a "marketing" order. I use "push" orders a lot when the factory is needing production and I believe we have a deal (using core product) to be completed soon with a larger retail account...under promise and over deliver.
Either way, since EDIG seems to have control of their production schedules. Frank's report that EDIG has the ability to use multiple factories also illustrates we should be OK on the eVU production front...IMO, another sign EDIG is maturing. No reason to rehash the past, but it is good to see EDIG's planning work to their advantage.
