Your input is greatly appreciated. Of particular significance is your observation on the impact of the Seagate decision on both treble damages, and the pending legislation in Congress.

Perhaps it is the impact of that decision which has caused the change in the most recent utterances by the EDIG management. Of late management has been saying any "settlement" would be a "one time" licensening fee which leaves the door open to any cross licensing.

I also have another question relating to the next important topic you touch upon in your post which I hope you will clarify.

In your post you said:...

It is interesting that all three companies you list have been "partners" of EDIG in the past, and have had a history of having used EDIG technology in products they market.

Assuming all three have listed EDIG patents as "Prior Art" in their applications for their patents, wouldn't that fact be material in the negtiations relating the licensing fees to be paid to EDIG?...
