Any objective facts about the LG settlement?

I can conceive of a settlement that structures the cross-licensing agreement strictly as consideration-in-kind, i.e., no recurring license revenues, just reciprocal rights to use one another's IP. That would seem to make it easier to compute a contingency-fee.

I also can imagine that the lump sum might be merely enough to settle a bothersome lawsuit (a opposed to making a commercial victim whole).

Certain posters make very positive assertions that the settlement is not just an affirmation but a jackpot. Is there any actual evidence to support these assertions?
