The branches are required by law/regulation to overnight any check they receive to the BD so that it is available the next day - it doesn't matter if it is a new or an old account. With ACH transfers, you will have a 3 day wait. Your funds are credited, but they are restricted until the funds are actually in the account. HTHs. HML!
