Never heard of such a rule with Wachovia or Fidelity, but a stock buy requires payment by the 3rd business day after the trade.

In other words, I can buy EDIG via my Fidelity acct on Mon with a zero cash balance, and mail a check to arrive no later than Thurs to include the comission and all is well.

Of course this is an established long time acct senario.
