CUU own 25% Schaft Creek: proven/probable min. reserves/940.8m tonnes = 0.27% copper, 0.19 g/t gold, 0.018% moly and 1.72 g/t silver containing: 5.6b lbs copper, 5.8m ounces gold, 363.5m lbs moly and 51.7m ounces silver; (Recoverable CuEq 0.46%)
Someone mentioned Teck having lots of lawyers looking and re-looking at things. They have to be careful, because its a catch 22. If they tick CUU off with legal wrangling, they run risk of losing it all.
They will play nice. Its a big sandbox, and I've heard mgmt say repeatedly that their relationship is amicable. Every effort will be made to keep it that way.
On another note someone else mentioned recently that CUU has not had discussions with mgmt. Clarification is that they had not at that time had discussion with certain mgmt that would be around purchasing the company. Certainly technical managament (up to the VP Engineering level) has been in discussions.
