Cal, what a surprise, that Native Americans could be divided on an important political and economic issue.  Of course, we don't see division like that in any other ethnic group, political party, company employees or governmental body.  All of those other entities are unified and monolithic in their thinking, eh?

Well, not so fast.  Split opinions are not the monopoly of the Native American population.  Zawadzki's "Good Neighbor" approach won't be made any easier by the animosity toward LAC incumbent upon a subgroup of that Native American population, whether that subgroup is a majority or a minority of that population.  On the other hand, opposition like the quotes you provided from one or more members of the Nevada Native American community, Cal, just make it more imperative for Zawadzki and LAC to persevere with their pursuit of that espoused LAC "Good Neighbor" approach even more vigorouosly.

LAC will never win over all of the opposition, but the effort to do so should not be abandoned.  There is nothing to gain by LAC adopting the opposite approach and treating the Native American people and the ranchers currently opposing the development of the Thacker Pass lithium clay mine as "the enemy".  If we go down that path then both sides will lose.

Of course, the above is "just an opinion".  Mine. I don't mean to imply or infer that we should give away the farm in order to save one cow, but I expect that will be the way some will interpret my "opinion" on the matter.  I definietly think that there is long term merit for LAC and LAC stock holders if LAC actually means what Zawadzki has professed as his commitment.
