When you read Haywood's account closely you see that it is hearsay and based on accounts he obtained from someone else. There is no "chain of evidence". When you read the history of Bill Haywood you soon realize that his veracity would be questionable in the first place, certainly to the millionaire who put up $15,000 of the then current USD back in 1921 for him as bail since Haywood left that guy high and dry when he skipped to Russia.
I don't put much stock into Haywood's account. It is interesting how much philosophy Haywood would have shared with Wilbert and Falk had those two been his contemporaries. Wikipedia is only one account of "Big Bill", there are others. The man truly was notorious in his life time. Falk must have thought that no one alive today would make the connection, certianly not Judge Du. Speaking in favor of Judge Du: Mamma didn't raise no idiot.
